Session ID:
1083
Presenter(s):

Attendees will learn basic data modeling in order to more successfully translate business requirements into logical models, physical models and eventually DDL for their target database platform. Although data modeling has been around for nearly 30 years, many people still have not mastered the techniques. Attendees will learn basic data modeling using Quest's QDesigner as they map a simple OLTP application's logical model into an Oracle 9i physical model. Data modelers, database developers and even DBA's will find this presentation informative and useful. Attendees should have at least a basic understanding of application development and relational databases.
